Why replace your Heating/Cooling equipment if it can and should be Repaired?
I only provide Maintenance, and Repair Services for my Customers!
If your Gas Furnace is closer to 20 years old and the heat exchanger has failed you should replace the furnace provided that the heat exchanger is not covered by a manufacturers warranty.
If your Air Conditioning Condenser (the part outside) is 15 years or more and the Compressor has failed, you should replace the entire Air Conditioning Condenser and matching Indoor Evaporator Coil. (Replacement of the interconnecting refrigerant tubing may also be necessary).
If your Heat Pump Outdoor section is 10 years or more and the Compressor has failed, you should replace the entire outdoor section and matching indoor Coil assembly. (Replacement of the indoor Section and interconnecting refrigerant tubing may also be necessary).
Be absolutely certain that you have experienced the type failure listed above before making your decision. See my Free Second Opinion Section.
Many Service People in this area have been trained very well to sell you replacement equipment and unfortunately fall short in their diagnostic and repair skills. Many of the larger companies have regularly scheduled sales meetings for the service technicians and pay their service people commissions on top of their regular wages for selling.
Have you ever been told that your unit was old and the parts could no longer be found to fix it? Though there are some parts (proprietary) that can no longer be found most parts are readily available as the original part or a service replacement part. Most parts other than those listed above are available and make good economic sense to replace.
I will only sell you replacement equipment! If I find that you would be better off replacing your equipment. If you are uncomfortable with my suggestion I will recommend you to a company that provides this service (one that has demonstrated that they use quality equipment, materials and appropriate methods to do the work).
